Ohope has similar qualities to the Mount but, I think partly because it’s population is a fifth of the Mount, it has a very different personality. Perhaps a little more unconventional and much more laid back. Ohope is the place I go to when I get restless. It’s my incognito when I crave more. It’s my fault really. I adore my clan and I want to spend what little free time I have with them.

Sascha describes Toi Toi’s menu as Pacific Rim Kiwi style. Most days it operates as a restaurant and bar, but even in winter they host live music evenings at least once a week on Fridays and in summer I always look forward to lazy afternoons with Soothing Sundays on the sunny deck facing the ocean.
